Tea Journal: My Relax & Recharge Routine
Four Cups, One Quiet Evening: My Relax & Recharge Routine
By the time I close my laptop, my head is still in work mode. I used to scroll on my phone “just for a minute” and look up an hour later. Now I do something different: I put the kettle on. The sound of water heating is the tiny bell that starts my evening.
1) The first exhale — Moon Harmony
I reach for Moon Harmony. As the leaves infuse, the citrus lifts in the steam—orange and tangerine with a soft herbal heart of lemon balm and verbena. I take the first sip and feel the tempo shift from fast to human. I don’t need to be anywhere else. Not right now.
2) A mellow pause — Calm Spirit
On nights that feel a little tight in the chest, I choose Calm Spirit. It’s simple and honest: lemon balm, chamomile, fennel. The flavor is gentle and warm, like a quiet conversation. I sit by the window while it cools, listening to the city soften.
3) Something cozy — Tranquil Garden
Later, if I want a second cup, I brew Tranquil Garden. Chamomile and green rooibos make the base smooth; strawberry and tonka add this almost dessert-like whisper. It feels like slipping into a favorite sweater—comforting without heaviness.
4) Closing the day — Evening Bloom
Some evenings I finish with Evening Bloom. The color alone—deep pink from pomegranate and blood orange—feels like a small celebration. There are fruit-forward layers underneath: apple, a hint of date and fig. It’s bright in flavor, yet somehow helps me say, “That’s enough for today.”
The little rules that changed my nights
- Boiling water, long steep: Herbal and fruit blends open up fully with time. I give them 7–10 minutes and let the aroma fill the room.
- No screens while steeping: Those minutes are for breathing, stretching, or just watching the steam.
- One intention per cup: Moon Harmony to unwind, Calm Spirit for softness, Tranquil Garden for comfort, Evening Bloom for a bright goodnight.
What I’ve learned
These teas don’t fix my evening; they frame it. They turn the late hours into a ritual—simple, repeatable, and kind. Since I started, I scroll less, read more, and feel more present with the people I love. The blends don’t shout; they invite. And most nights, that’s exactly what I need.
Your turn
Pick the cup that matches your mood: citrus-calm (Moon Harmony), herbal-mellow (Calm Spirit), strawberry-cozy (Tranquil Garden), or bright-fruity (Evening Bloom). Boil water. Breathe. Sip slowly. Let the evening be the part of the day you look forward to most.
Best,
Joseph
